I am honored to be running the Covered Bridge Half Marathon in Woodstock, VT for Team Positive Tracks this June. Please support my efforts in helping teach children they can change the world through exercise and sports! We need to show our youth they CAN make a difference in this world.
THANK YOU FOR EMPOWERING OUR YOUTH
Help Positive Tracks stand behind youth!
POSITIVE TRACKS MISSION: To help young people create change using the power of athletics.
WHY: Our youngest generation is inheriting a society with major challenges, from climate change to revitalized racism. Enter Positive Tracks to help young people create solutions to societal challenges through the power of sport and cause advocacy.
HOW: Positive Tracks teaches youth how to sweat for good, for any cause they choose. We provide free counsel on fitness, team building, community engagement, cause advocacy, event planning, fundraising and promotion. Youth are playing kickball for climate change; spinning for social justice; shooting hoops for hunger. If kids can dream it, Positive Tracks can help them make it happen: for any cause, from any corner of the country.
Positive Tracks was sparked by a small group of ten year-olds who mobilized their community around a sick friend – using only sneakers, a finish line, and the earth beneath them.
From that day forward, our goal has been to empower youth of all backgrounds and abilities to use sport as a catalyst for change. Play soccer to fight racism. Shoot hoops for hunger. Through leadership development, hands-on mentorship and experiential learning, we teach young people how to take action by sweating for good. Learn more about our approach and impact.
We’ve grown into a national, public charity with offices hubs in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. To date, we’ve enrolled 65,000 youth partners who‘ve turned 350,000 miles of athletic activity into critical advocacy and activism around core issues, and $10,000,000 for causes shaping our future.
Our vision is ambitious: A national movement, led by young people and rooted in representation from all backgrounds and perspectives. By the end of 2020, we pledge to stand behind 100,000+ young people engaged in ongoing activism through athletics. The Positive Tracks Partnership Alliance is the collaborative of partners – corporations, foundations and individuals – who believe in our vision and share the desire to bring our model to the next generation.
