Karmyn came to PPR from a high kill shelter. We instantly knew she had Cushings and once labs confirmed the diagnosis, we started treatment. Now she is regulated and needs her knees fixed. Unfortunately, her initial surgery date of June 24th was postponed due to large oral granulomas on both sides of her mouth that were so large, they began bleeding. So on the 24th she had to have a full mouth of teeth extracted and the granulomas removed to ensure she would not have any further complications from the mouth tumors. Her next surgery date was set for the beginning of August, but a neglectful foster home allowed her anal glands to rupture and abscess. We removed her from that foster home and sought immediate vet care. Unfortunately, with an active infection, she could not have surgery to repair her knees. Her surgery is now scheduled for September 16th.
The last fundraiser for Karmyn was $1400 short of the $4000 goal. Her medical costs since the June 24th surgery on her mouth total about $2500. We would like to raise at least $2500 towards the knee repair so we can cover the surgery cost without jepordizing our funds for the other poms in our care and future poms that come into our care. Can you help us make Karmyn whole again?
