A little bit of background for those of you that may not know both of us - after becoming instant friends during our University of Rochester interview weekend, we discovered that our birthdays are separated by only a few days in early November. Soon after, KarishmAlyssa birth fortnight (Nov 2-10) was born as an annual celebration of life and friendship, usually accompanied by a weirdo theme. 2020 marks a big one: we are turning 30 and have been celebrating birth fortnight for 10 years!
This year is different in many other ways, too, and we are bummed we won't be able to celebrate together (or with any of you). Instead, let's pour that celebration energy into helping us fundraise!
As physicians committed to supporting women and children, we are thrilled to be able to give back to the Healthy Baby Network. In addition to its political weight, this year has demonstrated the importance of pouring back into our communities. As many of you know, Rochester was such an important place for us. Now it is our turn to invest in them and support the populations that we care deeply about through the Healthy Baby Network and their programs promoting perinatal health and child wellbeing. We hope that you will join us in supporting them.
