Did you know gold in the color for childhood cancer and September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month? The students at St. Monica School know and we are trying to GROW GOLD and make a difference for kids battling cancer!
St. Monica School is proud to be participating in our annual G9 Penny War in support of pediatric cancer research with our friends at Gold In September, a program of Beat Childhood Cancer. All funds raised will be donated to the mission of developing new, less-toxic therapies for kids with cancer and growing awareness.
Running now through September 30, our class is competing in a virtual event. This means no coins to collect and bring to school, just a great opportunity to gather our pennies at home and make a clean, safe, fast donations online. By collecting spare change at home, donating allowance dollars, and asking friends and family for support, we are part of the grassroots community solution to funding research and finding cures for childhood cancer.
Each class has a $250 goal, so we hope you will help us reach our goal and make our K5 class the winning class of this fun G9 Penny War of golden hope!
