2ND ANNUAL JR. BEANPOT CHARITY YOUTH HOCKEY TOURNAMENT
WHY TRAVIS ROY FOUNDATION
Once again the Jr. Beanpot is supporting Travis Roy Foundation (TRF), a non profit organization that helps people who have suffered spinal cord injuries by giving them adaptive equipment that allows them to be as independent as possible. TRF also raises funds for research.
WHAT YOUR DONATION WILL DO
Your donation will allow people with spinal cord injuries to get much needed adaptive equipment, such as voice recognition software, computers, ramps, and specialized vehicles.
WHY HOCKEY
Last year was the first Jr. Beanpot and it was my Bar Mitzvah project. Since I love to play hockey, I chose to support TRF through hockey tournament. My family, teammates, and I are planning another charity tournament because it was a great experience and so much fun. Last year, through online fundraising, raffle, and silent auction, we raised over $19,000 for the TRF. We hope to smash that goal this year by raising $40,000!
WHY TRAVIS ROY
Since last year's tournament, I have come to know Travis personally. He is a wonderful person and has inspired me to do great things in the world.
OUR PARTNER
Once again, we are partnering with Positive Tracks through the Positive Tracks Challenges Program. They are a nonprofit organization that helps empowers youth to sweat for good. They are providing hands-on support and matching the first $1000 I raise for TRF!
Please help me reach my goal $40,000 so I can double the amount I raised last year for TRF.
