Fall was in the air and the color of the leaves were at its peak. Our family had begun preparing for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had many blessings to be thankful for, but one visit to our son's neurologist changed everything. That visit not only changed our world view on life, but what we should truly be thankful for. JP was diagnosed with non verbal Austism due to a chromosome defect. He was 3 years old. Since that time JP's world consists of many different types of therapies: ABA, Speech, Occupational and Equine Therapy. We are very blessed that our son has made tremendous progress the last five years. Shannan and I know that the journey ahead of us is very long and the road we walk upon is very steep. We are grateful for all the amazing support we receive from friends and family. We are grateful for all the resorces that are available for JP. We are grateful for organizations like Autism Society of Indiana to advocate for families just like ours. 1 out of 54 children will be diagnosed with Autism. ASI is an organization that helps families receive the resources that their special child needs. Please consider joining JP's Crew with a financial donation and help kids just like JP get the resources they need to be successful in life.
