The JCC of Somerset, Warren & Hunterdon Counties (or The Bridgewater JCC as we like to call it) has been a significant part of my life since we moved to Bridgewater in 1998. From spending time in the pool with my son Sam when he was only a few months old, to the pre-school and camp he attended and his numerous birthday parties we held there. Along the way the many, many friends I have made and the countless hours in the gym playing basketball with Sam and the over-35's (I'm now old enough to have fathered many of them), the J has been central to friendships, community relationships, and importantly the amazing contributions to the community I have been able to play a small part in through being active in the annual golf outing and other J events. Friends, Community, Contribution and Enjoyment are all what captures what the JCC has meant to me. I am looking forward to assuming the role of Board president next year, but this year has been extremely challenging which is why I am asking for your support.
The programs the J provides for and with the community is remarkable. From serving the children and seniors to the special needs community and general fitness and recreation, the JCC has been a strong support to so many people and families.
Since March of this year our community members, staff and board members have been tested like never before. Our primary focus is to continue the vital services the JCC provides for many years to come. We are in pursuit of much-needed funding to continue our mission. We have a group of donors who are MATCHING every single dollar we raise in the next 72 hours, up to a total of $200,000. We could have over $400,000 if we get to that number.
Every dollar helps. Your $50 becomes $100. Your $18 becomes $36. Your $250 becomes $500. Please view the short video above and click on the DONATE link in the top right of this page to make a tax-deductible donation before Friday, October 30.
If you cannot afford to give, please help me grow awareness by sharing this information on your social media.
