On June 8th the gym I train at will be hosting the Pull for Pride Chicago. It's an all levels deadlifting meet to help raise funds for homeless queer youth. Even though I just begun my training (originally started cross training with Coach Chris for my marathon) I am excited to experience my first meet, and be part of a great cause. My goal is to raise $1 for every pound I lift but I would ideally like to get up to $200 in donations for the organization. Please help me make this event a success. All the proceeds will go towards Project Fierce Chicago. Project Fierce Chicago seeks to create affirming transitional housing for LGTBQIA+ youth in Chicago that is responsive to the needs of young people. By mobilizing communities, they provide pathways to independence.
