I grew up in a third world country where access to clean water was a large barrier. While we lived in the city with relatively accessible water, the water was often contaminated requiring us to boil or treat our water before consuming it. In the surrounding villages, children or mothers would often have to walk minutes-hours to reach the nearest water pump or well. Seeing the raw difficulty of accessing clean water, and how important it is to our health makes me so much more aware of how privileged we are in Canada. Our access to clean water, right from our taps, is something that's so easy to take for granted. Lets give something forward and try and help others.
