Hi! Welcome to my fundraising page for the Boston Marathon. This will be my 26th and final marathon.
For those of you that have been following my story, I have been on a journey to run 26 marathons before the end of my 26th year.
April 15, 2013. That's when everything changed for me. I was on Boylston Street during the Boston Marathon bombings, having just completed the race mere minutes beforehand.
It was at that moment that I made two decisions that would shape the next decade of my life. First, I would not be intimidated and stop running marathons. In fact, and secondly, I would run more marathons than ever.
In honor of the victims and as a challenge, I vowed to do 26 marathons (in honor of the 26.2 miles in a race) while I was still 26.
I've traveled all over the world in my quest....Paris, Iceland, Athens, Moscow, Chicago, Los Angeles, and even Cape Cod. 25 marathons later and it is an incredible privilege to run the 2020 Boston Marathon on behalf of the Martin Richard Foundation.
Martin was an 8-year old little boy that lost his life during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. I purposefully made the decision for this final marathon to run for MR8 and no other charity.
My goal is to raise $7,500 before the Boston Marathon in April and I'd be so very grateful if you would consider chipping in.
Thank you in advance!
