Jonathan Williams is an award-winning senior professional with over 20 years’ experience in both the military and private sector. He has both national and international experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, project management, and contract negotiations.
As a ten-year member of the United States Navy, Jonathan supported various aircraft platforms including the F-14 and F-18. The last three years of active duty were spent as a logistics specialist for the United States Navy’s Blue Angels. During his professional career Jonathan has continued to develop his knowledge in logistics and project management utilizing core strengths in strategic planning, organizational leadership and collaboration.
He is very involved in the local Veteran Business community – being the chairman and founder of the Tennessee Veterans Business Association. The Association now consists of over 160 member companies and assists its members in business development, marketing, and government advocacy. The Association also assists local veterans locate career opportunities and with business start-up assistance.
Having completed 3 cross country cycling trips and logging over 11,000 miles over the past 3 years, Jonathan is an avid touring cyclist. The first trip in 2016 covered over 4,700 miles starting in Newport Beach, CA up the Pacific Coast to Seattle, then over to VA Beach, VA. The summer of 2017 started in Oceanside, CA and crossed over to Washington, DC, a trip that covered 3200 miles in 35 days. The 2018 trip went from New Orleans, LA to Toronto, Ontario – 2100 miles in 30 days. The 2017 and 2018 ride is part of a project titled The Unity Ride. Jonathan has also completed 5 trips across Iowa in the famous RAGBRAI tour – the latest being in July 2018. He is a 1098 Cyclist alumni and returns for this year's 12-day event to raise funds for Alzheimer's!
