Joey's Legacy, Inc. is a 501c3 organization whose mandate is promoting the animal-human bond. Our new radio show, "Joey's Legacy-Do No Harm" interviews members of the animal advocacy community: veterinarians, animal law attorneys, and other animal advocates for their thoughts and opinions about the current state of veterinary medicine, and how to bring about much needed change.
The radio show will expose the existence of veterinary negligence. Our guests will openly discuss the poor state of veterinary medicine. Did you know that Gallup ranked veterinarians as the #3 most respected profession in 2006? In 2019, veterinarians were not even ranked. What happened to cause this steep "fall from grace"?
Each show has a production cost of $150.00. We were able to fund the first 13 shows, a total cost of $1,950.00, with a very generous donation from one member.
Our first show aired April 5th, 2020 and the last show in this series will air on June 28th, 2020. The show can be heard every Sunday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, and is based in Southwest Florida. You can listen live on 98.9 WGUF Naples FM Talk, WGUF989.com and the WGUF App for Android and iPhone.
In order for us to continue producing these popular shows and making a difference in the community, we need your support. We must raise $1,950.00 in order to move forward with the next set of 13 shows. Since the fundraising goal is relatively small, $10.00 donations will add up fast, and we could be at our goal quickly.
Please donate now. There must be fundamental reform in the broken justice system for veterinary practitioners, which currently provides lenient outcomes for practice below the standard of care. Bereaved families are left without their beloved pet companions as a result of veterinary negligence. Many are also dishonored and devalued by being lied to about what actually happened.
Thank you for your donation.
