The New Orleans Rugby Football Club (NORFC) is hosting our 2nd annual fishing rodeo in honor of our greatest supporter, Joey Traylor (1991-2018).
Joey was born with Spina Bifida, a debilitating birth defect where the spinal cord is formed outside of the body. Joey was the life of our club. He never missed a match and went on many trips with the team. He was the first to shake your hand when you left the field and always greeted you with a smile.
Even with Spina Bifida, Joey never showed his pain, never spoke a word of negativity, and was always selfless.
The entire New Orleans rugby community mourned the loss of our dear friend and still mourn to this day, so in 2019 we decided to honor his legacy by creating the Annual Joey Traylor Memorial Fishing Rodeo. The proceeds go to Joey's two favorite organizations, Spina Bifida of Louisiana (SBLA) and NORFC.
The tournament will be held in Delacroix, Louisiana on May 16, 2020. Last year we donated nearly $3,000 to SBLA, and this year our goal is to double our contribution. This is why we are asking for your help with our cause.

We would be most grateful for any contribution you can find it in your heart to make to help us keep Joey's light shining bright through his favorite organizations.
