While I was playing football in New England I got to know Joe and Jen Andruzzi and saw the work that they did in the community. I wanted to do more to help but always felt too busy. Now that I am retired, I am so excited to join Joe's marathon team and do what I can to raise awareness about the great work JAF does in supporting the families of cancer patients. The marathon is also a great challenge for me personally as I transition from being an offensive lineman to being a normal person and a full time dad (baby Cali was born in October!). The fact that the marathon goes through the city of Boston, which I came to love during my 8 seasons playing in New England, is an added bonus to supporting JAF. Many of my friends and former teammates doubt my ability to go 26.2 miles but I hope to prove them all wrong on April 16th. Thank you for all your support.
