Hello Everyone! When I graduated from Waynesburg University in May, I knew I was ending a chapter and beginning a new journey as a recent college graduate. While it was difficult leaving the familiar; Waynesburg University, friends, and family, I have decided to join the PULSE program in Pittsburgh, PA. PULSE cultivates a community of young servant leaders to transform Pittsburgh. They invite recent, college graduates (like myself) to partner with local nonprofits for a year of service and leadership. I got excited about the PULSE program because I saw that it combines several aspects that I love: nonprofit work, service to the community, interaction with people and learning about the world around me. My hope for this new journey is not only to learn more about myself, but to hone my leadership skills, learn more about the nonprofit world, and use it as a stepping stone into a full time career. I joined this program for the experience, to broaden my horizons and educate myself about the inner workings of my chosen field. I am so very passionate about the non profit world and I want to use my gifts for good.
PULSE offers a great opportunity and I look forward to the year ahead. Part of my first task as a PULSE participant is to assemble a team of people who will support me in this work. I realize that I can’t do this work alone, that I need others to come alongside me and to partner with me. Would you please consider supporting me in this work? I am in the process of raising a minimum of $2500 to cover some expenses for this year of service and leadership. Your support will help impact the lives of Pittsburgh’s most vulnerable and help others step forward in life. Any amount, no matter how small or large will go a long way towards helping me meet this goal! Thanks for the consideration!
