Thank you for visiting my donation page for the 2018 Cape Cod Bay Challenge (CCBC). July 28th will mark the 11th running of the CCBC and will be my 8th year paddling in the event. In 2018, the CCBC will consist a 7-9 hour, 22 mile stand-up paddleboard marathon down the South Shore of Massachusetts from Nantaket beach to Duxbury Beach. The purpose of the event is to raise money for a wonderful non-profit organization called Christopher’s Haven. Christopher’s Haven provides housing to children (and their families) who come to Boston for pediatric cancer treatment. In addition to being a participant in the event, I am also actively involved with the Board of the CCBC and help with the planning of the event. Between planning and training for the event, it is a heavy time commitment and people often ask me why I do it. I tell them that all they need to do is visit Christopher's Haven once and they will understand why I am passionate about doing whatever I can to support the organization. Christopher's Haven not only provides housing for families who have a child going through cancer treatment but it is a support system to help with things large and small, and a community where families can be together, share a laugh, be comforted, and comfort others. Christopher’s Haven allows kids and families to focus their energies on the challenge of beating cancer. It is an amazing place. Please consider making a donation on my behalf. Any and all donations amounts are much appreciated.
