My husband Jono is an amazing musician, and I've always loved singing. We have three terrific musical kids who were 6, 10 and 12 when we were shocked to learn I had lung cancer in Dec. 2013. Lung cancer took away my voice, but new treatments are extending my life ... and I can sing again! Not as well as before, but I'm singing with gratitude!
Cancer research is making all the difference for our family and for many others like us. Research is extending my life, giving me opportunities to see my kids grow up, make memories ... and sing! Jono and I are posting a love song a day throughout November "Love Songs for Lungs" on YouTube because we want better outcomes for everyone with lung cancer.
A beautiful friend, Janet Taylor, recently died, so we've changed the name of this fundraiser to include her. She was kind and generous, and she fought very hard for a long time, always thinking of other people before herself.
Your donations to lung cancer research will help bring better outcomes for more people, and make a real difference for families like mine. Please give generously!
