Several years ago, our church, Cornerstone Parise and Worship Center, began holding Jesus' Toy Box for Christimas. The lady in charge would hold fundraisers and seek donations. All the monies went to purchase Christmas gifts for children of all ages. The presents are brought to the church and arranged in our sancturary. Parents and grandparents can come and "shop" for two gifts per child. The gifts are taken to our fellowship hall by Santa's helpers and wrapped. The parents then take the wrapped presents home to put under the tree. In past years, we have spent up to $7,000 on gifts. However, this year, with the pandemic limiting our fundraising opportunies and large gatherings, our funds for Jesus' Toy Box are currently $1500. Our prayer is that in this year of trials and financial struggles that we can offer even more gifts. We will continue to hold limited fundraisers and ask for donations. However, we are from a small rural town of 2500 people. For the first time, we thought of asking for help. We host Jesus's Toy Box the third Saturday of December.
