Please help us win the fight for people in Kansas & Missouri that are challenged with seizures. We need your help to continue the fight to stop seizures! 1 in 26 people are diagnosed with epilepsy and it is estimated to affect more than 250,000 children and adults in Missouri and Kansas.
I had Pediatric Epilepsy as a child for no known reason. I was officially diagnosed with Epilepsy as an adult in 2015 during college when my organs begin failing and I became suddenly wheelchair bound after being a very active athlete. I wouldn't accept defeat when I was given 2 years to live that year after one of just many emergency trips from my college campus to the local ER. I'm proud to say after extensive critical care at the Cleveland Clinic and KU Medical Epilepsy Centers I am 6 months seizure free and maintaining a medication free life by following the Keto Diet.
I live with a 1 in 2 chance of dying from SUDEP (Sudden Explained Death in Epilepsy) which has taken the lives of many of my friends over the years. The average risk for SUDEP is 1 in 1000. i am ready for a CURE!
The Epilepsy Foundation is a nonprofit organization that has given me the tools and resources to continue functioning as a working adult and student. They provide training to my schools, employers, and law enforcement in case a seizure were to occur.
Without this Founation and donations I wouldn't be able to live the life I do today so please support my campaign by donating any amount! Even a dollar helps!
If you can please join me in running the 5k on race day!
