The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. As of right now, there are over 22,000 confirmed cases in the United States and approximately 300 deaths. As the number of cases increases every day, the shortage of medical personal protective equipment (PPE) has become a serious issue in many states including NY and NJ. Without appropriate protection, the risk of infection for the doctors and nurses at the frontline is extremely high. To assist with this situation, TongYan School at Jersey City is initiating a fundraising event to take place in the local community. All donations will be used to purchase face masks, gloves, protective suits and other personal protective equipments. The equipements will be sent dircetly to Envision physician services who will help us distribute to their doctors at JCMC, Hackensack Medical Center and other hospitals in the area.
