I love science! From the time my mom busted me for putting a frog into hibernation in our bathroom sink to present day where I support pharmaceutical companies and their science to bring the world new therapies, science has been a part of me. To be able to combine that and running to run Boston is pretty amazing.
Who am I raising money for? The Museum of Science Traveling Programs.
In 2010, the Boston Athletic Association awarded community partner bibs to the Museum of Science for the Boston Marathon®. All funds raised by the runners would support the Traveling Programs. Traveling Programs’ mission is to teach exciting outreach programs that ignite curiosity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M).
Last year we made 1,089 outreach visits, taught 2,127programs, served over 100,000 people, and drove 65,367 miles. Communities need science enrichment programs more than ever, and we need your help. Your support will aid in scholarships, program expansion, and of course, the vans that make this entire program possible.
