My Friend's Place turns 30 in 2018 and to celebrate, we're getting muddy...again!
I'm jumping in the mud again alongside my colleagues, our ELC members and our fantastic friends at Grey's Anatomy, all in the name of supporting My Friend's Place! For 30 years and counting, My Friend’s Place has been assisting and inspiring homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives. From a small volunteer-led effort serving meals from the trunks of cars to the dynamic resource center in operation today, My Friend’s Place offers comprehensive care for youth that includes daytime shelter, food, clothing, showers, creative arts workshops, employment services and clinical case management and housing support. Each year, My Friend’s Place serves nearly 1,400 homeless youth between the ages of 12 and 25 and their children, providing non-mandatory, low-barrier and individualized care to help these young people move toward brighter and healthier futures of wellness, stability and self-sufficiency.
