Hi family and friends,
As many of you know, I am on the general board of a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization called Junior Council. Founded in 1988, Junior Council is comprised of young professionals in the Chicago area, dedicated to supporting the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago's patient care mission of providing high quality healthcare to every child who needs it, regardless of their family's ability to pay. The Junior Council specifically raises funds for the Special Infectious Diseases Clinic, which includes the Pediatric & Adolescent HIV/AIDS Program.
On January 27, 2018, the Junior Council will host its 30th annual Snowball event, held at The Field Museum. Snowball, Chicago's premier black tie event for young professionals, draws a crowd of 2,000 ticket buyers, who enjoy a night of fun, food and dancing. The event includes tastings from 20 Chicago restaurants, a silent auction, live band (Rod Tuffcurls and The Bench Press), DJ and open bar.
Last year, the Junior Council was able to raise and donate $240,000 to Lurie Children's Hospital and to date, has raised over $2,000,000. This year, we are hoping to raise $245,000. We are still $30,000 short of hitting that goal, so I am requesting your help! I have a personal fundraising goal of $250 during the month of December. The donation is at your discretion, and no amount is too small. The Junior Council relies on donations to ensure that we can write the largest check possible to benefit the hospital and the kids they treat. I would greatly appreciate your support.
Thank you so much for your consideration and support helping me raise $250!
