Jin's Bottle Babies wants to start saving up for a new and improved oxygen concentrator in addition to an oxygen reader to ensure that the oxygen being delivered into the incubator is of appropriate levels. We intake a fair amount of premie babies who's lungs are often not yet developed and need o2 supplementation. Our current system is old and outdated and was purchased in a pinch when we were first becoming a rescue and is not sufficiently able to supplement the oxygen support that some of our intakes need. Oxygen also comes in handy for a variet of other health concerns for neonatal kittens and is an essential supply for any bottle feeding rescue. Because we have multiple bottle feeding homes, we feel asking for support to purchase a newer, more effective delivery system and keep our old one on reserve to ensure all bottle feeders will have access to essential supplies is a reasonable ask.
Our current intakes, who are extremely premature, would just be one of many litters who would benefit from a better oxygen system.
The oxygen concentrator we are looking to purchase can be found here:
and the oxygen analyzer can be found here:
We hope to meet this goal by the start of next kitten season :)
