Creating unity through music is more important than ever in Tulsa as well as all across the country. During these unprecedented times, the pandemic has taken a toll on our ability to fulfill our mission and we need your support.
Traditionally, a large portion of our support comes from hosting private events, such as weddings, corporate events and concerts. This allows the Oklahoma Jazz Hall to present concerts, sponsor music lessons and be a resource for musicians in our community.
Over the last 9 months nearly 50 events have been cancelled or postponed. The Oklahoma Jazz Hall depends entirely on private sources for our revenue and we have been struggling to stay afloat during the pandemic. Our radio station, KMFO 98.1 FM, plays jazz, blues and gospel, with a focus on Oklahoma artists, past and present.
We are still presenting concerts online and musicians are still rehearsing and KMFO continues to broadcast great music. But the times are getting more challenging .
We are now facing what appears to be another shutdown and we are planning for the worst.
We are reaching out to our friends hoping that you are able to offer assistance to the Jazz Hall at this critical time. Your donations are instrumental in our fight to keep Tulsa’s Home for Jazz going and KMFO on the air.
We know many are facing challenges never imagined, so any contributions you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
