Hi Everyone! I'm excited to be running the 2019 Chicago Marathon for the Chicago Parks Foundation. This will be my third marathon, and first Chicago Marathon. I'm so excited to take to the streets of our gorgeous city and run for an outstanding cause.
As a long-time resident of Chicago, I am grateful for all of our beautiful and diverse parks and greenspaces. Support me as I run The Chicago Marathon, in hopes of qualifying for the Boston Marathon, and consider a donation to the Chicago Parks.
About the Chicago Parks Foundation
Among the oldest and largest park districts in the nation, the Chicago Park District stewards 8,500+ acres of green space. With more than 600 parks, 230 field houses, 29 beaches, 26 miles of Lakefront, 11 harbors, 8 golf courses, and 2 world-class conservatories, nearly every Chicago resident lives within a 10 minute walk of a park.
The Chicago Parks Foundation (CPF) launched in 2013 to operate in a private-public partnership in support of Chicago’s parks. We are the official 501c3 charitable partner to the Chicago Park District, independent but collaborative in spirit.
Thee help raise funds and awareness for the parks via special events, community outreach, fiscal partnerships, and restoration projects. When you invest in a park, you improve the community that depends on it. Because it’s the people who make the parks, and every Chicago community - from South Side to North, West Side to Lakefront - has a unique park story.
