I am running the San Francisco Marathon (virtually) on November 15th and raising money for the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI). All donations will be matched 100% until I have raised $1,000 - anything beyond $1,000 will not be matched, but will still go directly to EJI.
Please feel free to give as you are able. Every $5 or $10 is welcomed to support EJI's important work - and you're doubling your impact until we hit $1,000!
If you donate, you'll be invited to track me live as I run. Anyone giving $100 or more will recieve a small gift from me and Julie.
The full story:
I was planning to run the NYC Marathon again this year to raise money for a great organization providing clean water access in developing nations. Unfortunately, the NYC Marathon was cancelled due to COVID-19, and I will be running that next year or the following instead.
That opened the door for me to fundraise for a different organization this year - and a different issue that demands our action right now. I've decided to run the San Francisco Marathon (virtually here in NYC) - and I want to use this as a way to fight for racial justice and equality. The Equal Justice Initiative is a tremendous organization that has been working towards criminal justice reform and racial justice since 1989. From EJI: "Your contribution is critical to our efforts to end mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, challenge racial and economic injustice, and protect the basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society."
Thanks for your support!
