To Friends & Family,
With my Bar Mitzvah rapidly approaching, I have decided to help make a difference to a cause that is special to me, by supporting the Sunrise Association, a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization. The Sunrise Association’s mission is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings world-wide. This mission is accomplished through the creation of Sunrise Day Camps, Year-Round Programs and In-Hospital Recreational Activities, all offered free of charge.
The Sunrise Association brings together two areas of my life which are so important to me, the support of children suffering through cancer, as well as my deep appreciation for summer camp and all it has to teach children. My years at Tyler Hill have helped shape me into the man that I am today, and when school begins every September, I am counting down until the beginning of my next summer at Tyler Hill. The gift of giving a similar camp experience to children suffering from cancer, and their siblings who all too often feel neglected as so much attention is drawn to their suffering sibling, have drawn not only myself, but my entire family to support this amazing organization.
So, how can you help? One of two ways:
1. Contribute to my fundraiser, which will be donated to Sunrise Day Camps to be used how they see fit.
2. Donate a pair of new, unopened swim goggles. The camp is always in need of supplies during the summer, and swim goggles are one of the items which they are always in search of. Click here to purchase goggles.
*Note: Please have goggles shipped directly to Sunrise: 15 Neil Court, Oceanside, NY, 11572. Attn: Deanna Slade
Thanks in advance for your support. I am very excited to make a difference with the Sunrise Association, while at the same time helping me grow and build on my philanthropic endeavors.
