This walk is in loving memory of our angel. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, aunt, cousin and most of all friend. Grandma Janie had a passion for people and one of her passions was ensuring the safety of her family. My mother, siblings and myself are survivors of domestic violence. We lived in the Kokomo Women’s Shelter. We know how that time in a persons life might feel. We also know there is hope and light at the end of that dark tunnel. Grandma helped us find that light. Now it’s our turn to give back. All proceeds will go directly to the Kokomo Women’s Shelter. This helps momma’s provide basic needs for their children after running from a horrible situation. This means a toothbrush, a pair of socks, shoes. Often these mothers run from abusers with nothing but a bag they threw together in a rush to save their lives. Any donation helps and I thank you all so much for your love and encouragement. My hope is to turn our tragedy into happiness for others who are feeling like there is no hope.
