Before you all knew her as Zisi, my sweet dog was an injured, neglected puppy found by a Texas shelter, and had been hit by a car. Unable to care for a broken leg, the shelter was planning to euthanize her. But Husky House came to the rescue, brought her to New Jersey, and paid for surgery so she could become the running, jumping, singing ball of fluff love that she is today. I take care of her, and she takes care of me. But none of that would have been possible if Husky House hadn't saved her and nursed her back to health. Husky House is a wonderful animal rescue organization that is committed to giving safe and loving homes to dogs rescued from neglect, abuse, abandonment, injury, and even war zones. Husky House takes in Siberian huskies and other needy pups, pays for quality vet care, and finds them their new best friends. Lorraine and her devoted volunteers make so many sacrifices to give these sweet pups the lives they deserve. My life is so much richer for it, and as I celebrate my birthday, I'm feeling especially grateful for that. I hope you'll help me help Husky House continue its wonderful work.
