The money donated here will be going directly to Rainforest Trust's project with Reserva to create the world's first entirely youth-funded nature reserve in the Ecuadorian Chocó cloud forest! I am trying to help preserve some of Earth's most biodiverse land in a larger effort to protect wildlife and promote conservation of the planet. For more information, see https://reservaylt.org/. I am a high schooler in New England, and I have grown up with a love for nature and animals. I am passionate about photography and the behavioral patterns of some animals, and I want to help protect the world's wildlife as much as I can. I have been in contact with Reserva for a couple of months, and they are a terrific organization. All of the money that goes to this organization helps to preserve land in the Dracula Reserve in the Chocó Cloud Forest. A cloud forest is a type of mountainous and tropical rainforest with persistent rainfall that causes condensation and lots of clouds! It is a great habitat to boast lots of biodiversity, and the Chocó Cloud Forest is one of the most biodiverse places on Earth.
In the last 50 years, the world has lost almost two-thirds of its wildlife! It is more important now than ever to try and help preserve nature. Reserva's mission is not only to create the world's first entirely youth-funded nature reserve, but also to empower young people to make a difference for the planet. Youth in our society are also the future, and with passion and dedication, they can change the world for the better.
Working with Rainforest Trust and a multitude of other organizations, Reserva is working to save wildlife and nature on our planet. Every cent that is donated through this site will be double/matched by the Rainforest Trust and will go directly to preserving land in the Chocó Cloud Forest of Ecuador.
