We're so grateful for all the love and support we recieved this past month after the passing of Diane. Thank you for all the kind words, well wishes and donations. We started with a goal of $5000 and quickly surpassed that goal with $8700 in online contributions. If we can reach our online goal this summer of $10,000, we want to give back the entire amount by awarding two $5000 scholorships. The recipients will be two Bland High School seniors, and the funds will be awarded later this summer prior to the 2020/2021 school year.
About the Endowment:
Diane founded the J Stephen Lindamood Endowment following the tragic car accident of her son, Stephen. The fund was established in 1991 and benefits Bland High School graduates that plan to attend college. Each year, a recipient is selected and awarded a $5000 scholarship for college.
Diane was very proud of this non-profit and all the community support that made it possible. For nearly 25 years, she organized the JSL Basketball Tournament and raised money for the cause. Please consider a contribution in her memory to help sustain the fund, support the community and help these young graduates.
