On Tuesday May 5th, Giving Tuesday, we launched our fundraising campaign: “Yoga, Community, Resilience.” Like so many small non-profits, we are experiencing financial hardship due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We closed our studio on March 13th to keep our community safe, quickly transforming our business model to digital classes and instruction. We are grateful for its success, but our revenues are down and even under normal times, all of our sources of revenue are needed to sustain the Institute’s survival.
This is why fundraising is still essential for the Institute, especially now.
We are shifting our focus with this campaign in order to do more to help those experiencing financial hardship during these challenging times. Your contribution will help fund two more donation-based classes at IYISF - bringing our total to five such weekly classes. Your contribution will also help the Institute explore additional flexible pricing options for students, teachers in training, and our community in the short and long term. Stay tuned for information later this month as we line up teachers and work out the details of these new classes and programs.
It is a hard time to ask for your help when so many are in need, yet we know there are many in our community who are fortunate enough to be able to support IYANC/IYISF, who benefit from the teaching we offer, and who want to help us financially. So we are now asking for your support and greatly appreciate any amount you are able to contribute.
Through your presence, your practice, your financial gifts, and your gifts of service, we are a thriving community.
We will continue to work hard to meet and exceed our goals of access to excellent programming, a superior student experience, quality teaching and experiential learning, expansion and greater collaboration of our regional community. Thank you for being a part of our Iyengar Yoga community, and for helping build our resilience in this time of uncertainty. We are in this with you, and for you. Thank you!
