2020 has been an unprecedented year for all of us. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our lives and has had a significant impact on IYAGNY. Thankfully, we were able, through the Zoom platform, to switch online in late March. We have been hosting remote Iyengar Yoga classes since. We have closed, temporarily, both of our physical Institutes in order to prioritize safety and cut costs in the hopes of staying afloat. We are working to keep your costs down and decrease our expenses while still honoring the hard work of our teachers and staff. Despite these challenges, we have not lost sight of you, and our mission. We have recently released our most ambitious programming since the pandemic began:
• Expanding our Daily Classes from 50 to 62.
• Relaunching our Membership Program, which provides you with free events and classes, significant discounts, as well as Membership with our National Association.
• Releasing Special Series to enhance your learning and Beginner Series for those less experienced.
• Most importantly, we are offering four no-charge classes per week and have expanded our Scholarship Program to provide $5 classes to more students who do not have the means to pay full-price.
As we regroup and look towards a time when we can physically reopen, we ask that you consider supporting IYAGNY with a tax-deductible contribution. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, our continued existence is dependent upon your generosity.
We understand that these are challenging times and that you may not have the resources to contribute. However, if you can, make your donation to IYAGNY today to support our future.
We wish you, your family, and friends a healthy rest of 2020 and we look forward to seeing you in our online classes soon.Sincerely,
James Murphy, Association Director
Edward McKeaney, Executive Director
