Kay Roberts touched so many people’s lives in so many ways. She was a devoted mother, sibling and friend. She had a love for life that was only matched by her love for others.
In 2014 life dealt Kay a really bad hand. Kay was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. A disease that has no cure, and even worse, no treatments. Kay never allowed this to stop her though.
Kay was fortunate enough to find programs that helped make her diagnosis easier to manage. One of the organizations that helped her make life more manageable and enjoyable is The Susie Foundation.
All funds raised for the It’s O’Kay Classic will go to The Susie Foundation’s continued pursuit of enriching the lives of those that are affected by ALS.
