For my birtday this year, Paul Chambers Salon & Myself teamed up to raise support for Hilarity for Charity & One other mental health organization. Having been involved with Hilarity for Charity for over 5 years now, I told Lauren Miller I want to do more to help the families affected by Alzheimer’s. For me, this organization is very special & has had an impact on my life because it is the first charity I became intimately connected to. My cousin’s father in law had Alzheimer’s & I got involved with HFC during a diffuclt time in my life because it helped me put others before myself. Hosting events in Chicago for Hilarity for Charity in Chicago helped improve my own mental health & helped me overcome some social anxiety. I have enjoyed meeting other people at various events & feel deeply connected. When I approached the founder, Lauren Miller, about getting more involved she responded with gratitude & excitement. On 7.28.19 we hosted a MAKE OVER event at Paul Chambers Salon where donors received goodie bags, hair & make up. Professonal photographers were in attendance to take photos of the event.
