In 2013 ITI established a giving initiative together with WE, to build school rooms in Haiti, one of the poorest countries in the Americas.
To date, we have raised over $50,000 and built 5 school rooms in the villages of Marialapa, and La Chanm. We are now embarking on a 6th school room in Kabayi.
The students in Kabayi recently selected the colours for the first classroom block! Block A is just getting the finishing touches with furnishings, and the students could not be more excited.
Let’s continue working together to give children in Haiti the hope of a bright future through education.
Built on 20 years of experience, WE Villages is an international development model that addresses the five primary causes of poverty. This highly effective five-pillar model helps provide holistic and sustainable solutions that work in tandem to transform communities.
Each pillar is a critical component to breaking the cycle of poverty. WE Villages’ five Pillars of Impact are: Education, Water, Health, Food and Opportunity. Through this program partner communities work in collaboration with WE to take ownership of the program and projects to create lasting change. We help community members develop the skills, strategies and infrastructure to take charge of their future and maintain long-term change.
