Social distancing to slow the spread of the coronavirus is causing economic hardships throughout our community; restaraunts and stores are abnormally quiet, schools are closed, coffee shops and bars are empty, people are staying home.
The churn of our normal lives is the life-blood for many businesses and thier employees. The slowing of that activity translates to lost wages, missed tips and absent revenue. People who depend on the consistency of that activity still have bills while we wait for this contagion to calm ... soon will need our help.
Now is the best time to act.
And so, we invite you to support those most affected in our community by donating to 2nd Harvest through this campaign. Your contribution will help feed families throughout our eastern Washington through thier established food distribution system and network of regional food banks.
Every dollar you give can provide 5 meals and every meal is expected to be needed before this trying time is over.
Thank you for your support.
