"I am so grateful because now I can use the power of faith to support my recovery and life."

The Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) in Cincinnati invites men and women recovering from homelessness and addiction to encounter God’s love, hope and healing through spiritual companionship that transforms lives.
ISP Cincinnati offers overnight spiritual retreats to participants by partnering with area service providers to give individuals a chance to re-connect with themselves and re-discover hope and strength for their recoveyrjourney.
The healing that takes place on our retreats can lead to long-lasting transformation – the kind only possible when one believes that change is actually possible.
A recent participant told us after the retreat: “I am loved and worthy.” Another participant also shared: “I am so grateful because now I can use the power of faith to support my recovery and life.”
This year ISP-Cincinnati team plans to serve over 350 men and women through retreats and monthly reflection sessions. During the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working hard to prepare safe ways to deliver our programs. Our women's team is even holding virtual spiritual reflection sessions every month. We know we provide a vital offering: invitations from isolation to connection and from pain to healing are desperately needed during this time.
Your support now ensures we will be able to offer retreats as soon as we safely can!
Now more than ever, we need experiences that combat isolation and loneliness. As we do not charge our participants or their housing agencies for the retreats, our local community supports our expenses through generous donations. We ask you to journey with us, and help us to light the path by accompanying those who have experienced homelessness and are in recovery from addiction. Your gift to ISP provides an opportunity for a participant to encounter the God of their understanding and experience a spark of hope and healing.
