The ISO Symphony is the top ensemble among ISO’s four major groups and one of the leading youth orchestras in the New York City area. Students range in age from 12 to 19 and come from every part of New York City. Petko Dimitrov is leading the ISO Symphony in the 2018-2019 season. Its alumni include musicians holding principal chairs in professional orchestras in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, St. Louis, and other cities. The ISO Symphony rehearses weekly and twice a year takes part in sectional rehearsals led by members of the Metropolitan Opera and New York Philharmonic Orchestras.
Help the ISO Symphony reach their goal to raise $12,500 for financial aid and scholarships, then come hear the ensemble at the Playathon Concert on March 10th at Roulette Intermedium, Symphony will play at 4 PM.
