Imagine the day when the children will return back to school, tired of being in their homes because of quarantine, ready to meet and play with other children. If that day were tomorrow, that dream wouldn’t be possible because the playground is no more.
We’re asking for your help to make that dream come true. Due to years of wear and tear, many parts of the playground equipment have disintegrated or broken off, creating dangerous sharp edges and crevices. Loose structures and small potholes in the turf added more safety issues, so the best that we could do was to dismantle and close the area.
We looked into replacing the equipment and turf and found a source with a good reputation to deliver and build a new playground. However we cannot do this without your help.
The playground is not only about the kids having fun. It’s biggest value is related to the interaction that takes place there and on how important it is in developing social skills that are required to succeed in life.
As adults, some of our fondest memories from childhood were at the playground. The Islamic School of Miami hopes that we can provide a special place like that, together with your help, so that your children can develop their own fond memories.
