We are weeks into the pandemic and our frontline hospital workers are still without adequate Personal Protection Equipment. These heroes are putting their own safety - and the safety of their families - on the line to care for the growing cases of COVID-19. They are risking being infected themselves and they need our help!
With over 8,000 confirmed cases in Detroit alone and over 30,000 cases in Michigan (as of April 22) exposure for these workers without proper protection continues to be a daily threat. But you can help change that.
We are ISAIC (Industrial Sewing and Innovation Center), a non-profit workforce development provider and contract manufacturer. We have mobilized a network of factories in metro Detroit and across the state to produce 100,000 hospital approved isolation gowns.
As a nonprofit, we are seeking funds to help cover our costs of this massive coordinated effort to produce and distribute these much needed gowns to protect workers. At the same time, by partnering with other local manufacturers, we are helping area businesses stay open and our neighbors working.
