Why I support the American Cancer Society
Isaac Short- The reason I relay
In my life I have seen cancer affect freinds and family that are close to me. Going through college I watched one of my best friends battle cancer. I watched him fight for his life and still keep up his classes at a high level he was used to achieveing. I was blown away by his positive attitude and willingness to take on cancer without know what may be the end result. Thankfully he beat his cancer and is living a healthy life.
I few years ago my Grandma was diagonosed with cancer. I watched her battle her illness but in the end it was to much but she left us with a peace of mind. My Grandma's strong faith in God helped her come to peace with what was happening.
I am currently watching my wife's Grandpa start his battle with cancer. It is hard to watch the emotional toll it can take on someone. I am proud of his strength he has to fight this illness.
Cancer has affected so many people around me and it was inspired me to join this American Caner Society event. This event gives me the opportunity to honor those that have been affected by cancer and to help raise funds to further research to help others fight cancer.
Funds raised support cancer patient programs and groundbreaking research that can help save lives. This even also celebrates over 15.5 million cancer survivors nationwide. 15.5 MILLION. Will you join me? And if you can't would you be so kind as to make a donation?
