Friends, Family, Parents:
Tis the season to be Thankful!
2020 has taken a toll on all of us, but not everyone has been affected the same. Underserved communities have been hit extra hard this year. Children all over the world have been struggling with education, hunger and getting the medical care they need.
That’s why this year I am participating in a socially distanced 140.6 mile swim/bike/run race on November 22, 2020 to raise money and support for the World Pediatric Project (WPP). The WPP is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, nonprofit organization with a mission to provide specialized medical care and build healthcare infrastructure to underserved pediatric patients throughout Central America.
In 2017 I was fortunate to join my mentors @jeffersonfacialplastics on a WPP cleft lip/cleft palate mission in Belize. We performed over 40 surgeries repairing clefts and other traumatic or congenital conditions for their wonderful children in just several days. This is a community the Jefferson Facial Plastics team has served multiple times a year for over 10 years.
Please pay to watch me suffer (so these kids don’t have to) through my first 2.4 mile open water swim, a 112 mile bike and a marathon.
