Over 1,300 people experience homelessness each night in Cincinnati.
Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cincinnati’s mission is to provide homeless families emergency shelter and hospitality through interfaith communities and to work with families to find and retain stable housing.
We have been providing emergency shelter since 1991, working side by side with partners from the faith community to meet basic needs while offering professional wraparound services that change lives. IHNGC helps moms, dads, kids, and their pets, exclusively serving current or previously homeless families. In addition to shelter, we provide a full complement of ongoing housing supports and programs that keep families safe, warm, and together.
Across all programs, IHNGC served 340 families in 2016. That's double the number in 2015! In total, we served 1,212 individuals, 61% of which were children. 81% were headed by single moms and 19% were two-parent households. 23% of individuals had a disabling mental or physical condition. 96% of families got stable housing, or stayed in their existing home, and 93% of 2016 shelter families kept their homes and didn't return to shelter. With your help we can make 2018 an even better year, helping hundreds of families who are experiencing homelessness throughout Cincinnati!
IHNGC can only provide life-changing services for families because of the support of people like you! From the 1,000+ people that volunteer their time, to the dedicated congregations, to the generous supporters who donate each year, people are at the heart of our work.
