Victor Grange was established in 1874 in the building it currently resides. The building is in desperate need of insulation in the attic. The Grange provides many services to the community. Granges have the freedom to mold itself to the needs of the community, once focused on farmers, now Victor Grange has recognized the needs of its community's Senior Citizens and voted to become Fairfield's Senior Resource Center. We began monthly Potluck lunches free for seniors 18 years ago called Senior Circle. The Grange has space to hold many programs, classes and events. Recently parts of Fairfield were without power for 3 1/2 days, the grange did not lose power and we opened the hall as a warming center for those in need. For the last 4 years the Grange has taken on the WindowDressers program as a community project. This project is building inserts to help people stay warmer in their homes while they age in place. Victor Grange and its volunteers have built more than 802 inserts, for 91 homes and 34 for were done for free. Victor grange wants to continue opening the hall for many events, but to do so we must insulate the ceiling. We have an estimate for over $50,000. Anything you can do to support the Grange and the Seniors in our community would be greatly appreciated. PLease check out this video of one of our projects.
