The current pandemic has had a huge impact in our organization, not only operationally, finacially but it has also hit close to home affecting some our beloved members.
Although we have applied for Goverment relief, so far we have not received any support to help us maintain our Institute during these dificult times.
The Institute for Immigrant Concerns is a nonprofit organization that provides English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programs and support services to a diverse population of adult immigrants and refugees from all five boroughs of New York City. In addition to learning English, our students receive one-on-one counseling on job search and career development from a multilingual, dedicated staff. Our students acquire English language skills while celebrating a diversity of countries, cultures, and religions. Our students are highly motivated and supportive of one another as they discover their place in the New York City.
The mission of the Institute for Immigrant Concerns is to equip adult immigrants and refugees of all nationalities with English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) skills and referrals for social services, educational programs and immigrant support, empowering them to succeed in their quest for social and economic independence.
Reaching our $5,000 goal will help us cover rent, business expesens and salaries for the next three months and ensure that we can get back on track for our fall semester ready to serve our students.
Please help the IIC with a $25 donation and help us get close to our goal.
