What if we could solve six significant challenges at once? There are more than 9M single moms in the US. Many are coming out of abusive or addiction-laden relationships and they don’t have a lot of options. Our housing-first solution includes building 30 tiny homes for 30 single moms who are getting out of abusive situations.
Our innovative, Kind Living community utilizes a Life Accelerator model which provides crucial services to help these moms flourish for one low, monthly fee. Participants in the program will receive a safe place to live, childcare, wellness care, organic food and career opportunities in remote customer service and car-sharing.
We plan to “open source” our model and share the best practices for how to create Kind Living communities for those who are under-rewarded for their significant contributions to society. Those groups include: nurses, teachers, firefighters, police officers, veterans and other deserving groups within our population.
The money raised, combined with other donors, will be used to help purchase the land and develop this community, nestled in the Sierra Foothills, about 30 miles north of Sacramento, CA.
