Story

Friends of Live Jazz and Beyond,

UPDATE 6/9 - Thus far the Indy Musicians Relief Fund has impacted over 150 local musicians. Unfortunately, many of these artists are still adversely impacted by the extended effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. While many things are opening up, the music scene will be one of the last to come back online. Please consider donating as we aim to help those in need one more time.

UPDATE 4/29 - Thanks again for your generous support as we approach the 70k mark. Your generosity is making a difference as over 100 musicians have now received a relief grant through this fund. We are asking for you to share this campaign as it is making a difference and our hope is that we are able to provide another round of funding in May. Thanks again for everything and stay safe.

UPDATE: We are happy to announce that yesterday we mailed over 70 checks to many of Indy's finest jazz, blues and beyond performers. We still continue to receive requests for assistance daily so we have extended our goal to $100,000. Plus we anticipate the need to help these folks again in the coming months. These funds will be distributed entirely for artist relief. Please help us reach this goal and please share with your friends.

We hope you and your families are well and staying safe during these devastating times. As a result of the local economic impact of COVID-19, the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation, the Penrod Society, Owl Music Group and The Jazz Kitchen have joined forces to create a musicians relief fund to assist local jazz and related genre musicians who have had a direct loss of income through cancelled or rescheduled performances.

Many of Indy’s finest performers rely on their weekly income, and unfortunately will be the last to receive government assistance. These funds will be used exclusively for artist relief. This impact will be instrumental (no pun intended) in keeping the Indy jazz & music scene alive as we all strive to make it through these tough times TOGETHER.

A special thanks to the Penrod Society & the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation for matching the first $10,000 in donations. WE HAVE MET THAT GOAL!!

We now have a generous $10,000 match opportunity from our friends Mark & Alora McCalister from Big Red Liquors. Thanks so much for the support! WE HAVE MET THAT GOAL!!
