Mission: Incarnation House prepares homeless and housing insecure youth for life success by providing access to educational, emotional, and other support services.
Vision: Transforming communities by equipping youth to end generational poverty.
For families living in generational poverty, an “every day” life issue that may be manageable for families with a higher income can be the final factor in placing them on the street. Homelessness and poverty are inextricably linked. Persistent childhood poverty, residential instability/homelessness and educational poverty (attending institutions with learning disparities) are factors that all but guaranteed academic struggles and generational poverty. This is what most or the students are facing at North Dallas High School and its feeder patterns.
At Incarnation House, we strive to create an environment where students of North Dallas High School don’t have to worry. At our center, they never have to be concerned about missing a meal. In our house, they always know that there will be adults to cheer them on and help them succeed. When they walk in our doors, they enter an environment so unlike the ones in which they live. Incarnation House means safety, care, provision, discipline, and opportunity.
We are the broker of new places and opportunities they would not normally have access to.
Sue Krider is proud to sponsor Incarnation House.
